We are now operating a School Clothing Collection Scheme. This not only reduces the amount of clothes going to landfill sites, it also helps to generate much needed funds for schools.
Working together with Local Councils we are actively trying to encourage more schools to participate.
For reuse we need your:
Once a school has registered for the scheme we will agree a collection date for our van to collect.
Stickers will be issued to the school so they can be given to each pupil.
The school will be contacted prior to collection to confirm they are still happy to take part in the scheme.
On the collection day the pupils bring the clothes to school and a Ragtex UK van driver will call and collect the clothes.
A payment at the current market value is then calculated and paid by cheque to the school.
Members of the Ragtex Team are also available to perform a presentation explaining the processes involved in the collection and export of recycled clothing.
